Located sixty five miles northwest of Phoenix in Maricopa County, we a just a short one hour drive away from the hustle and bustle of the Valley and enjoy Wickenburg’s clean air and small town hospitality. While visiting our town be sure to visit a few of our many attractions that we are sure that you will enjoy. Here are our top ten;

1. Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts presents a series of national and international touring performances each year. From Comedy to musicals and drama to Western entertainment, their schedule includes something for everyone. For more information, visit: www.delewebbcenter.org/

2. The Desert Caballeros Western Museum, a showcase for the best Western and Southwestern art. For more information visit: www.westernmuseum.org/

3. Enjoy works by local, regional and national Western artists at various galleries in town.

4. Tour the historic Vulture Mine, discovered in 1863 by Henry Wickenburg. The Vulture Mine became the most productive gold mine in the history of Arizona and Vulture City grew to a population of almost five thousand people.

5. Bird watching at the Nature Conservancy’s Hassayampa River Preserve, where water rises above ground, and hiking trails take you around the preserve area.

6. Enjoy a popular movie in the historic Saguaro Theatre. Opening in 1948 by the Harkins chain, this single screen movie house has recently been restored. The theater also hosts live entertainment including melodramas during Wickenburg’s annual Gold Rush Days.

7. Various outdoor activities on the golf course, hiking trails, jeep tours, horseback rides, ropings and rodeos throughout the year. If you have a quad or four wheeler, be sure to visit Box Canyon located north of Wickenburg in the Hassayampa River.

9. Wickenburg is the “Dude Ranch” capitol of the world, so dust off your cowboy hat for horseback riding at the Kay El Bar, Rancho de Los Caballeros or the Flying E guest ranches.
