$1 billion cost info at aclunc.org ACLU related videos at www.youtube.com The satiric look at California’s search for lethal injection drugs for capital punishment on last month’s “The Colbert Report” was made possible by ACLU attorneys who used open government laws to gain access to documents revealing both the wasteful bureaucracy and ironic contradictions inherent in California’s death penalty, as I show in this video. The clips of Stephen Colbert come from the December 15, 2010, segment of “The Colbert Report” titled “Tiny Triumphs – Lethal Drug Shortage” available online at www.colbertnation.com The American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California provided the clips of Staff Attorney Michael Risher, Staff Attorney Linda Lye, and Death Penalty Policy Director Natasha Minsker especially for this video. The ACLU of Northern California logo and “Cut This” webpage on the $1 billion cost of California’s death penalty is available online at aclunc.org

Is there alien life in the universe – or does it only exist in science fiction? Dr. Seth Shostak, the Chief Astronomer for SETI (the Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) gives a funny and candid look on our fascination with aliens, and the real world efforts by SETI to find extra terrestrial life. Dr. Shostak looks both at our history of “looking for ET” as well as the current and future potential for first contact. Dr. Shostak’s speech was sponsored by the Beyond Center, an institute with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University.

But as KJZZ’s Tony Ganzer explains, many of the visitors to this wilderness are a long way from home.

Note: Sorry for the blurriness of some photos- I don’t have a scanner, so that meant I had to take a picture of the photo using my iPhone in order to upload it. A chronological photo timeline of my friends and me at Remuda Ranch Inpatient Treatment Centre for Anorexia/Bulimia Nervosa in Wickenburg, AZ. December 2007 – February 2008. Music: +All That Matters, by Addison Road +You are Holy, by Chris Tomlin — Any questions, opinions, or comments are appreciated! :) Comments (C)/Questions (Q) + Answers (A): C: I think? Remud?a could? help a lot more girls? if they got rid of the Jesus? aspec?t. A: RR is not overly-zealous when it comes to spirituality, though yes, it is a part of their recovery programme. I went as a strict atheist, for example, and have known others who have different beliefs/no beliefs that went and got a LOT out of it. C: You know I think? they’r?e “tube happy.” Nowhere? else do I see so many prett?y norma?l-looki?ng girls? with NG tubes. A: Here’s a question: What’s “normal-looking” to you? When it comes to the NG tube, I think I’ve told you that the reason RR does it more frequently is a) it is an “easier” method for weight restoration and b) studies have shown that it is more effective for weight restoration than Ensure Plus, Boost, CIBs, etc products. Q: Does Remud?a reall?y spell? “centr?e” [like that]? Becau?se I belie?ve it’s “cente?r” ?with an “er.” This isn’t Franc?e. ;P A: Yes, it’s spelled “center,” so you’re right. I, however, use English
